Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
Modutrack ("we", "us", "our") is a personal asset and parts tracker operated by an individual based in Australia. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Modutrack, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Modutrack you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Modutrack is the website and application available at modutrack.com. For any privacy questions or requests, you can contact us at andrewh.builds@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Account information. You sign in with Google. When you do, we receive and store the information your Google account makes available to us: your name, email address, profile image, and a Google account identifier. We also store the authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in.
Content you create. We store the data you enter into the app so we can show it back to you. This includes your assets, components and parts, service and maintenance logs, maintenance schedules, notifications, and any feedback you choose to send us.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools automatically receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Modutrack service;
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in;
- Store and display the assets and records you create;
- Send in-app notifications, such as maintenance and warranty reminders;
- Understand how the service is used so we can improve it;
- Respond to your questions, feedback, and requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and are required for the app to work.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how the service is used. It is only active on the production site.
- Google AdSense may be used to display advertising on the production site. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads.
Google may process this information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without essential cookies.
How your information is shared
We share personal information only as needed to run the service:
- Google — as our sign-in provider, and (in production) for analytics and advertising;
- Our hosting and database providers — who store the data on our behalf;
- When required by law — if we must comply with a legal obligation or protect our rights.
We do not otherwise share or sell your personal information.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored in a secure database and retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete records in the app they are marked as deleted and may be retained for a period before being permanently removed.
When you delete your account (Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my account), erasure is immediate and permanent: your sign-in profile (name, email, Google link, sessions) and everything in your personal account — assets, components, service history, schedules, and custom values — are hard-deleted. Records you added to a shared account remain with that account (they are its members' business records), but they no longer reference any of your personal information. Feedback you submitted is anonymised. Encrypted database backups may retain copies for a limited period before they expire.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate;
- Delete your account and associated data yourself — Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my account;
- Export a copy of your data yourself — Settings → Data & privacy → Export (see the Your Data guide).
Export and deletion are self-service in the app. For anything else — or if you can no longer sign in — email us at andrewh.builds@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
Modutrack is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date below. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Modutrack after an update means you accept the revised policy.
